Got to start somewhere.....

OK, my first blog post ever. I thought I should get started so here goes....

If you read About Me, you would know that 'my thing' is Beyond-The-Page (BTP) - (also called Off-The-Page) scrapbooking. Basically, I love it! If you've never heard of it, or may have never considered doing it, please read on.

Beyond-The-Page means simply that. Basically, your scrapbooking is done on something other than an album page. It could be on anything really, but I choose to do it on craftwood (MDF) mainly. It makes your scrapbooking more than just something visual in an album. You can touch it, display it as a talking piece in your home, or maybe give it as a gift.

I am in the process of setting up an online store to sell my BTP kits. I wanted to have somewhere to promote BTP scrapbooking online and also have a place for people to be able to view available kits, and to give feedback and their own suggestions for future kits. I would love to see BTP become as popular in Australia as traditional scrapbooking. No reason why it can't be!

Now I realise that there are 100's of scrapbooking sites and blogs already so I'm not going to reinvent the wheel and make another one. The focus here is Beyond-The-Page. And for all you die hard traditional scrappers, no-one is saying to stop doing what you love. Just asking you to give BTP a chance too, you may be surprised.

These 5 kits also have enough supplies to make one co-ordinating double spread traditional scrapbooking layout. These kits (and future ones) are extremely easy to use. Even if you have no experience or scrapbooking supplies, you can simply purchase the kits, a craft knife and craft glue (also available from Showin' Off Scrapbooking) and you're all set to produce a beautiful BTP project using your own photos. All kits come with step by step instructions so you don't even need imagination, although it's great if you can add your own special touch!

And the other great thing (maybe the best part) is that all the kits can be completed in hours! Yes, I said hours! Not days, weeks, months ...... years!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read about the birth of Showin' Off Scrapbooking. While there is not much here yet, there will be in the coming days/weeks. I'm eagerly awaiting my first order from my supplier.
